Vote For Hot Stuff

new-image.JPGThanks once again to the nominators who have taken time to recognize the posts that they love!! Now’s the time to begin nominating for next week. Just leave a comment or send an email to hatchew at hotmail dot com. “But, Megin,” you might ask, “Whatever would I nominate?” Funny you should ask… there are so many millions of wonderful things on the internet. If you line up all of our blogrolls we might have an occasional overlap, but by and large we all have our own favorite places to hang out. Hot Stuff is a chance to introduce people to the places you love. There are absolutely no limitations as to what you can nominate.* We at GNMParents lay out your choices each Tuesday and allow our readers to vote for their favorite! Like now…

In her funny funny post Down with Raffi, Mrs. Chicky is putting together “a list of appropriate kids music that won’t make their parents’ ears bleed.” I am a big fan of kids listening to real music. My kids love Phish and ZZ Top and the Beach Boys. Of course, a few parents might have issues with a 7 year old’s favorite song being Centerfold by J. Geils. Or with a two year old grooving to James Brown’s Sex Machine… but I’ll take it over 18 hours of “Rubber Ducky.”

David at My Two Dollars is talking about the question of transitioning from two incomes to one. If you’re working (you know, for a paycheck) and you’re not sure your family could make the financial adjustment needed to stay home with your kids, check out Could Your Family Live on One Income?

Kelly from Thrifty Mommy shares 10 ways to Get Chores Done While Hanging Out With Your Kids. This list might appeal to those of you who actually have a to-do list, as well as those of you who aspire to cross things off said list.

Mama Tulip won’t be inviting a canine into her family folds any time soon. How do I… What should I… How about if… Ok, this one just must be read without an intro.

When was the last time you had a date with your spouse? Is it time? Jenny offers some sure signs that it’s time to ditch the diaper bag and hit the town. Take a moment to read Marital Blips, I Mean BLISS at Absolutely Bananas.

Please vote for your favorite, and don’t forget to leave a comment with a nomination for ext week! You can also email hatchew at hotmail dot com.
