Hot Stuff of the Week!

July 17th, 2007 by Megin Hatch · 5 Comments

new-image.JPGHappy Tuesday, everyone! Many congratulations to the funny and talented Sam from Temporarily Me! Sam won last week’s Hot Stuff Award! Her post, bitch! say my name! describes her son’s confusion about Mom and Dad. Tell us, Sam, have you been calling Mike Daddy? Is it working?

We have 4 great nominations this week. Before we lay them out for you, please remember to leave a comment or email Megin with your nominations for next week. All posts are eligible, just pass on the link. This is a chance to make the world wide web a bit smaller by introducing us to some of your favorite bloggers.

First up we have Karen at Thrifty Mommy. We are in the middle of beach season here in Maine. We spend plenty of time at the shore, in the yard and at the lake. We’ve been lucky so far with just one slight sunburn. Karen offers 10 Thrifty Sunburn Remedies for those times when we aren’t so lucky. That photo makes me cringe!

Mad Grad Mom has a post on her site, Diss, Dat, and Diapers that she calls Seen but not Heard. It’s her response to a women’s only beach in Italy at which neither men nor children are welcome. But she shares her thoughts on a larger phenomenon where unrealistic expectations are placed on children. She certainly isn’t arguing that children should have free reign to behave any way they want wherever they happen to be, but she reminds us that “These are not moments that are about the individual. These are great teaching moments for our children.”

On the lighter side this week, Crazy Mumma shares a funny post about baby hamster poop and a little drama. Life can be so hard for a little girl and for her Mumma! Chores is both gross and entertaining as all get out!

Jenn, who spends her time Serving the Queens shares her thoughts on Utopia. We are more alike than we are different. Even if we are drastically different people. I second Jenn’s opinion. “It’s your world, people. Why not make it a Utopian one?”

When you’ve spent a few moments with our nominees, please come back and tell us who deserves the “I’m Hot” award:
