Hot Stuff How To

February 17th, 2007 by Erica Douglas · No Comments

Hot Stuff BadgeHot Stuff is a weekly interactive feature at GNMParents. It’s a way for us to share and highlight some of the goodies we have found on the Internet.

Here’s how it works:

1. Nominations

Nominations are open all the time. Send as many as you like! Please send them to erica.littlemummy@googlemail.com or here. Please put “Hot Stuff Nominee” in the subject or body of your email, thanks! Your nomination will be included in the following week’s Hot Stuff.

2. What can I nominate?

The short answer is: Anything you like.

The long answer: As long as you think it’s great and worthy of a Hot Stuff Award, then that’s good enough for us. In the past we have had blog posts, websites, video clips and products.

3. What happens next?

The nominations are collated into a readable post, which is published on a Tuesday, both the nominees and nominators receive linkbacks. And then the voting begins…

4. Voting

The voting opens as soon as the post is published and remains open until Thursday morning. I will add a comment when the voting is closed which will say *VOTING IS CLOSED* - clever eh :D
Once the voting is closed the votes are counted and a further post is published with winners and runners up. The winner receives a snazzy ‘I’m Hot Stuff’ button for their site (or print it out and stick it on the fridge. Hey, do both!!).

5. Voting Rules

There is only one rule. You may only vote once. Nominators and nominees may vote, and can even vote for themselves - if they so wish. But remember, vote only once!
